  1. Just out of interest was looking at OPC Boxster S  available. Not sure if i am wrong but their is one in Hatfield, A 2014 model with 13772 miles , Techno wheels, and most extras, except T/Vectoring for £45000,  Yet there is one in Exeter, A 2013 model with 39500 miles with a poor extras list, no PSE, Sport Wheel, etc for £41980.  Now, i know their are differences, but the £45 k one seems much, much better buy than the other one, and cant get my head around why. If anything the lower priced one seems well  over priced.

  2. Morning, something i have just started to notice is when i turn ignition off, their is a electric motor/pump type noise which goes on for about 5 seconds from the front area of car. Is this meant to be?

Only discovered yesterday that they run cooler when Sport/Sport+ is on. I was in normal mode and temp was around 110, which made me investigate, apparantly their is a clever temp control unit which allows more coolant around engine in Sport/Sport+.

After 18 months with it , still learning!!!       Cheers   Alan

  3. Just read in an Express Newspaper artical that the 981 is one of the top cars for not depreciating, they put it down to being a 6 pot, not a 4, and recon that they will stay like that for the forseable  future.

  4. Had my 'cheap' Sumex cover for 16 months now, still 100 %water proof, and not worn my paint down to its undercoat. One thing I do do is before fitting I quickly wipe the paint  contact area with a microfibre cloth to remove any gritty stuff. Still fitted in under a minute.

  5. I have PASM, which i think lowers the car by 10mm. When you say it is visually improved do you mean that it is lower (20mm?) Can i have the X73 suspension with PASM? , and i you dont mind me asking what is the cost for the modification.  Thanks alan

  6. I think I've mentioned it in another post but I can't recommend this Half Cover enough. It's proved it's fully waterproof over the last few months, and so easy to fit in a minute. I've added a couple of loops so I can tie it in the middle( small rope running under car and picking up loop on other side) after folding in the mirrors. With this done it is very stable in strong wind and does not flap about due to the corners being fixed by elastic straps down to wheel spokes.

It is a SUMEX Premium Semi Cover,. SMALL size. Was about £20 last time I looked on AMAZON.

  7. A bit green about these, i assume the tyres come off and the sensor/valve comes through the wheel , similar to when a new valve is fitted . Do they communicate to the car using blue tooth?. Never had them on a car before,  all this excitement having a box, not knowing what i am going to learn next.............

Looks good, was thinking of doing it to mine  (white car, so probably Black, or Red to match seat belts , haha)  Where did you get them from?   cheers alan

  9. I think the reason I have done the warranty ( non Porsche) is it gives me a bit of protection against the larger bills, unless the claim is not honoured of course. Also I can start wearing my brakes down now and not think of OPC charging £500 a corner for discs/pads, ha,ha

  10. Yes i understand peoples negative views of warranties, but as Topradio says, it can give some people a little peace of mind.  The way i see it is my starter motor could pack up , then my £790 warranty would probably have  been a good buy. Hopefully i never need to find out, Ha,Ha!

Lofi,  i have PM you the chaps details, speak to him direct . cheers   Alan
