Three options

1. Sudden sub zero weather in Sussex

2. Southern softie

3 Because you can

Please indicate which.

Option 3 :) It would be nice if the PDK lever was heated, the metal section does get really cold 😆

You actively want us to hate you, don't you?

I have always lived my life on the basis that I do not care what people think of me :) :D

Yeah the sides of it are leather as well... I was just playing up to 56 pounds suggestions that I am a softie! Hardcore me, riding motorbikes when it is cold and everything! ;) Although I do not have the roof down unless its at least 13 degrees :D

So this week........after 6 years in my heated garaged ownership and never seeing rain I had to use the Boxster for 2 days :( . I could not have picked a wetter week.  I know what I am doing this weekend......and next.

They don't shrink or suddenly turn to rust you know.  Although it is nice to have an immaculate car. (and a heated garage!)

Real world problems! I am the first to admit I have too many toys and not enough time to use them. It does about 500 summer miles ish a year and like everything I have I tinker more than use, it was very shiny on top and  underneath until Monday, booo.

On the up side its going to get its first wash in a long time, probably 5 years, it normally gets a fluffy Ken Dodd duster and Meguiars Quick wax before its cover is back on.

I converted the 3rd front bedroom to a garage to house the Boxster, knowing one day when I retire and we move it will be converted back, basically have my car in our bungalow lol.

These are pipes when I polished them a few years back.... :)

What's impressive is you have found the time to do that BEFORE you retire!

My car has been doing nothing for a few weeks so I thought I'd better connect the Optimate battery conditioner, something I must have done dozens of times over the years. I lifted the car cover and used the key to unlock the front boot and ..... nothing happened. It took me only a couple of seconds to remember that I needed to lift the door handle before the key fob would work but in those two seconds my mind ran through the whole gamut of sorting out jump leads or having to find the emergency release cable. It came as quite a relief when I remembered the door handle thing!

Had a few bits done this week by my preferred specialist:

- replace engine mount bush and install powerflex insert (this has made a HUGE difference, everything feels much more tight and cohesive)

- rear spyder performance coffin arms with poly bushes

- front eccentric camber bushes

- exhaust manifold bolts & gasket replaced

- front and rear ARB bushes

- Castrol SRF brake fluid

- fast road/track geo

Dare we ask numbers? I've just had some of that done as well and probably need more, so just wondering...

My Boxster is normally kept on a trickle charger in the garage. I needed the garage as we are doing some work on the house so the neighbour offered her garage. It's been in there for 2 weeks and came to move it back today and of course the battery was flat! Connected my BMW up to the fuse box and it did nothing, no lights and the bonnet release still not working. Presume 3yo battery has broken down. Tomorrow I will be searching (with fingers crossed) for the manual pull wire. Is it on the UK nearside or the offside on a very late 987.1?
