alank
With it getting a bit chilly now , it got me thinking anti freeze/coolant. How long is it before it needs replacing ?, mine is 2014 S , 22k. I don't recall seeing it in any of the service schedules. I cant get in garage , so it lives outside all year round. I am in the south, so not often arctic conditions. cheers
martyn
Nothing to worry about, the a/f strength should be tested during a service automatically by the technician and if it has dropped below a certain concentration ratio it is topped up to the correct parameters by neat anti freeze. Down to say -10c requires a ratio of 39% antifreeze to 61% water. -20 is 44% a/f to 56% water. Not mentioned on service sheet implies the ratio was correct and no further action was required. For peace of mind you can test it yourself easily enough. Edited November 24, 2021 by martyn
