So that works then 👍

What are your thoughts regarding mapping.

put the video up so you can get a feel of the performance.

Seems to go well from 5k rpm onwards.

Watching the in car - and traffic will account for some of this - the engine seems to be dropping below 4.5k rpm in a number of places.  As you know you’re then relying on torque to get the car moving.

This was highlighted when you used 2nd (rather than 3rd) through Mclaren/Clark - in 2nd your 986 properly scampered onto Brabham compared to previous laps.

I’d be keen to keep the car at 5k+ throughout apart from warm up/cool down laps.

It looked pretty busy out there and yet there maybe more speed to be found with some mid-engine specific tweaks to some of the lines.

It would benefit from someone who knows their stuff refining the map on a dyno to maximise the available performance. If they will road refine then so much the better.

I’d be looking for more punch from 5.5/6k rpm - it’s interesting that from 2nd-3rd-4th out of Mclaren/Clark the engine’s in gear acceleration to 7k seems faster than when running from 3rd-4th in the same sector. More lively, responsive.

So there’s possibly something in a mapping session to wake up the throttle response from 4k plus.

The factory accelerator:TB mapping is pretty conservative - in my experience there’s much to be gained in terms of responsiveness from having that area of the mapping made more “assertive”.

You won’t see it as bhp but you’ll definitely feel the effects on track.

Hope this is helpful - happy to try and provide more detail if you want that.

As and aside: Do you have a lightweight flywheel fitted?

Are the exhaust manifolds equal length?

Are you using Super Unleaded?

What is your brake system config?
